So, whenever she needed her mom, even knowing the call might go unanswered, she dialed her number right away, following her heart.

She casually put down the phone, eyeing Thorne as he slipped into his suit, lounging on the master bed, legs kicking in the air. “Dad, you’re off to pick up Ms. Hawkins already?” Thorne nodded, “Yeah.”

“Make sure you guys come back early tomorrow, take me out for some fun.”

Thorne got dressed and was out of the house in less than fifteen minutes.

By eight o’clock, he and Vesta made their grand entrance at the banquet hall.
