Although Lila received a dressing down from Noah for no reason, she remained unfazed. “Noah, to be honest, I was thinking about this too.”
A slight frown crept upon her forehead. She might have had a good time in the past few days, but it didn’t mean she was completely mindless.
On the topic of Kieran’s lover, Lila admitted that she was a little greedy. Her initial plan was to break up with Kieran once everything had settled down. Kieran would look for his love, and she would live her life.

He made her laugh. Her mood instantly lightened. She explained, “Once my scandal dies down, I plan to release Kieran. I don’t want him to be trapped in a loveless marriage.”

“Hm?” She couldn’t immediately grasp his meaning.
Word by word, he repeated, “You claimed that Uncle Kieran didn’t love you. Do you love him?”
He couldn’t fathom why he would even ask that question. It wasn’t what he would usually say. Was he too deep into those soap operas on the TV?
He expected her to reply that, no, she did not love him, and that she was forced to marry him due to certain circumstances.
To his surprise, she paused and frowned, her eyes flickering with conflicted emotions. Moments later, she shook her head and replied in a casual tone, “Are you silly? Kieran is like an uncle to me. I will not have feelings for him.”
Her words made sense, but Noah saw things in a different light now. A pause later, he went back to his thuggish demeanor. Elbowing her, he said, “Yeah, it doesn’t matter whether you love him or not. You’re Mrs. Morgan now. No one can take your place before you step down!
“Let’s go! Time to fight with Kieran!”
Before she could protest, he dragged her to Kieran and Ruby. He announced, “We’re done talking. Time to have lunch.”
Noah looked like a thug with his hair and his side-eye. But girls loved guys like him. The foreign girls who passed him by wouldn’t stop looking back.
Lila slapped him on the small of his waist. “Lay low! What if some of them are your fans?”
He turned around. “I didn’t break the
law, okay? I have nothing to be
afraid of Plus, I’ve always stuck to this principle-I only sleep with a girl if it’s consensual, and if she is an adult.”
Lila looked speechless. Nicole would have taught Noah a good lesson if she were

Lost in thoughts, Ruby walked beside him. “What about you? Do you dote on her too?”
