Kieran’s soft laugh was charming, and his eyes were filled with amusement.
“It’s going to get colder tonight, and it might snow. Would you like to have stew tomorrow if it’s the first snow?”
His voice was deep, with a slight rise that gently stirred her emotions.
Lila wanted to punch herself. Why did she never think before speaking?
But when she heard the word “stew”, she paused, and her thoughts suddenly drifted.
Having stew on the first snow was something she had done in her first year with the Morgan family.
That year, the first snow had come early and heavy. Within half a day, it had piled up to their ankles.
Noah had woken her up early.
“Hurry, let’s build a snowman!”
Wearing the cute pink down jacket that Kieran had chosen for her, she stood in the snow, feeling a bit dazed.
Noah was as excited as a dog cooped up too long, running around the yard and rolling snowballs.
She touched the snow-it was so cold.
When she looked up again, Kieran had already come up to her.
“Put on your gloves, don’t hurt your hands.”
Lila looked up at him, her peripheral vision catching sight of the two enormous snowballs Noah had rolled, and he was preparing to start on the third.

That day, Noah ran around the yard while Kieran stayed with her to build one big snowman and one small snowman so they would have company.
After they were done playing, Noah suggested stew for dinner.

Lila snapped back to her senses, her expression as relaxed as usual. “When did you buy me new clothes again? This color is very similar to the one you bought me when I first came to the Morgan family”
It was the same color as the one she wore on the first snow that year.
She walked ahead, her steps crunching softly through the snow,

Kieran followed behind her, watching her pink figure stand out against the vast whiteness.
She looked like a pink camellia blooming in the middle of the snow.
Lila suddenly turned around and came back toward him.
In the next moment, the cold snow hit his face, and he instinctively stepped back.
Lila bent down with a smile. “Uncle Kieran, I didn’t know you could get scared
