Yelena turned to Cole, giving him a slight nod. “You must be Mr. Morgan’s assistant. It’s a pleasure to meet you. I’m Yelena.”
Cole shook her hand politely, offering a courteous nod in return.
Yelena then turned her attention back to Kieran, her gaze betraying a hint of eagerness.
Her tone softened, and she put on her sweetest voice. “Where are your company’s seats? And what product are you showcasing today?”
She had noticed how the organizers had treated Kieran with respect earlier. He was clearly someone of importance.
Kieran gave her a faint glance, his cold expression remaining unchanged.
He fiddled with the diamond ring as his gaze shifted to the busy organizers in the distance.
Cole noticed the subtle impatience in his demeanor and turned to Yelena. “Are you here on behalf of Jones Group?”
Yelena glanced down at the badge she was wearing, then realized she hadn’t taken it off in her haste.
Her eyes flickered slightly. “I’ve just started dating Terry, so technically, I’m not qualified to represent Jones Group yet. But, as you know, he’s injured, and I came to help out since I have some experience in this area.”
She thought to herself that her words were perfectly phrased.
Being with Terry for such a short time implied their relationship was still pure and that she remained untouched. Her experience in the field made her seem capable.
She figured Kieran must now look at her differently.
Although Cole had asked the question, Yelena had been focused on Kieran the entire time.
However, what Yelena considered a flawless speech was awkward to Cole. After years of observing such interactions while by Kieran’s side, he had seen this type of woman and heard these kinds of words far too many times.
Cole said with a professional smile, “Jones Group has mostly been involved in the industrial sector. The technology in the internet field is still relatively new for them. Ms. Griffin, I suggest you learn more from the other invited companies. We’ll take our leave now.”
By the time he finished speaking, Kieran had already begun to walk away.
Letting Yelena finish her speech was a gesture of respect for Terry.
But Yelena felt dissatisfied that Kieran had not said a single word throughout the conversation.

With that thought, she immediately stepped forward to block their path.
“Mr. Morgan, you’re Terry’s friend, so meeting like this must be fate. How about take you to Jones Group’s exhibition area?” Yelena said eagerly, her eyes fixed on Kieran.
