“I’ve got tons of friends in my circle buzzing about this stunning violinist. My phone’s been blowing up for days.”
“Ms. Pearce, do you have any insider info? Can you spill a bit of the beans?”
Better than her? Rachel’s mind flickered to Stella. After all, within the Novaris, there were few who could rival her prowess.
“What’s her name?” Rachel asked instinctively.
“No clue, that’s why I came to you, Ms. Pearce.”
Rachel paused for a moment, then said, “Send me her photos and videos. Let me take a look.”
Not long after, a video popped up on Rachel’s phone. It was from the competition day, showing Stella playing the violin!
Recently, Rachel had been unable to forget the humiliation of being outshined by Stella. Additionally, seeing Haynes watch Stella with intense attention had ignited a new feeling of threat and discomfort in her.
This woman she had always thought of as talentless had not only proven her wrong but had surpassed her. Even at Neo-Vespera University, such skill would be exceptional. Yet, she was sure she’d never seen Stella at the university.
As for the Hall of Fame at Neo-Vespera University… Rachel was convinced that no matter how good Stella was, she couldn’t possibly have her name there. To Rachel, the Hall of Fame was an unattainable summit, something to be revered from afar.
She hadn’t even considered linking Stella with the names enshrined there. Besides, she had never heard of Stella’s name among those famous individuals.
Rachel had forgotten that everyone at Neo-Vespera University used English names, including herself. How could she have possibly heard of Stella?
Suddenly, Rachel remembered Jasper’s plan to livestream Stella’s downfall. Her expression sharpened, and she immediately called Jasper.
Upon hearing her, Jasper quickly checked the trending topics. What he saw nearly made him explode with anger.
“Seriously? I only streamed for like five or six minutes! I shut the stream down, and yet Stella is blowing up!”
Stella’s rise to fame was meteoric. While Rachel had needed considerable support from Jasper and Haynes to gather a million online followers, Stella had achieved the same feat in just a few days!
Jasper, who couldn’t stand Stella’s success, was about to lose his mind. He quickly said, “I’ll have the trending topics suppressed and make sure any mention of Stella online is wiped out.”
“Don’t worry, as long as I’m here, she won’t outshine you.”
Rachel frowned, “But Stella was involved in some big news a while ago. I’m worried…”
Jasper reassured her, “The internet has no memory. All the previous hype about Stella has been erased, thanks to me and Haynie. It’s all gone without a trace.”
“Once the buzz dies down, people will forget. And if anyone does recognize her, we’ll just say she’s not the same person-just someone who looks similar.”
“In a country with over 300 million people, some folks resembling each other is totally normal, right?”
Jasper’s family wielded significant influence over half of the entertainment industry. In the past, much of the public buzz about Rachel and Haynes was cleverly crafted by Jasper, who portrayed their relationship in a positive light to sway public opinion.
Any negative rumors about Stella? Those were his doing as well. Yet, somehow, Stella had managed to outmaneuver the Wilkinson family’s media network and released a video of Rachel’s intentional mishap, catching Jasper completely off guard.
