The room was so quiet that you could hear a pin drop, and Phoebe’s voice rang out loud and clear.
Morris, a small smile playing on his lips, rubbed his forehead and spoke softly, “Grandma, you’re awake. How are you? feeling?” Phoebe exclaimed, her voice filled with disbelief, “Morris, is it really you? Am I still here?”
“Thanks to Cherise, you’re still with us, Morris replied, gesturing towards Cherise.

Out in the hallway, Morris’s presence intensified; his authoritative side emerged, his eyes scanning the area with a piercing focus.
Leo, who had been waiting, fell into step behind them as they moved.
With a tone that left no room for disobedience, Morris issued his commands, “I want the security tapes grandmother’s room, and I want every staff member rounded up for questioning.”
